I lovingly chopped up some red peppers and onions, added it to the soaked pumpkin seeds, and threw in some lemon juice. Then, in the mini food processor, I blended. And blended. And blended. It never really seemed to get smooth. I tasted it. Umm...yum. (and that was sarcasm) So I let it sit, hoping the flavors would meld.
About 45 minutes later, I tried blending it again, but to no avail. I decided to sit down and eat it. It wasn't that bad, but it could have been a lot better. Much better, in fact. It basically tasted like water-logged pumpkin seeds with a hint of lemon. Needless to say, I only ate a little bit and devoured the rest of the uncut red pepper. The "recipe" isn't even worth posting.
A really crappy picture...but you get the idea.
This however, was pretty tasty.
I also made some guacamole for tomorrow, when I have three finals and know I won't have time to throw anything together. What's that you say? I should be studying? Oh, I just had to take a little break... :-)
The next time I post, I'll probably be home, enjoying lots of raw food. I may or may not be able to take pictures, but I'll try!
Good luck on your raw food journey. I know it is hard to eat raw when everyone else around you isn't.
ReplyDeleteGood on you for trying darling. I have only made nut cheese once and it turned out lovely...I made Gena's pizza cheese here:
